ACTING TO THE GODS

Two week intensive drama course
For: actors, theatre professionals and drama students.
This course is offered in association with  E.15 Acting School, University of Essex, UK.

Set in Greece,- where theatre originated 2,500 years ago, this course offers  a unique opportunity to rehearse and perform in a Greek amphitheatre and to learn about the roots of all western theatre from leading theatre professionals.  Course includes: improvisation, character work, masks, chorus work, dance and movement ,voice and text-work . As well as seeing a performance at the ancient theatre of Epidaurus (which seats 14,000), participants rehearse extracts from ancient Greek plays, culminating in a public and filmed performance at the Hydrama Amphitheatre. The focus of the course will be to train actors to use their voice and body in large open spaces - in a beautiful setting which replicates theatre's early beginning and  to provide them with invaluable skills with which to approach the Greek classics which are increasingly performed in all major theatres.

Course Fee: ₤ 650 (includes breakfast, lunch, all tutorials, field trips & transportation to/from Athens airport to Hydra.)
Accommodation Fee ₤345 (this will be arranged for you)
